Foreign Minister condemns act of terror in Pakistan and conveys condolences to families of victims
Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins has conveyed condolences to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood, with regard to the 27 May suicide bombing of a police station in Pakistan's second largest city Lahore that killed several dozen people and left at least 250 injured.
In his letter, Minister Riekstins offered his sympathies to the families of those who had lost their lives or have been wounded, and expressed his condemnation of such acts of violence, which further destabilise the situation in Pakistan. Minister Riekstins expressed support to Pakistan in its fight against terrorism and to measures taken to regulate the situation in the region.
