Prime Minister and Foreign Minister express condolences to their Estonian counterparts on Estonian soldier's death in Afghanistan

Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis and Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins on behalf of the Government of Latvia have sent letters of condolences to the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of Estonia with regard to the tragic death of an Estonian soldier in Afghanistan.

Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins in person expressed his deepest sympathy to the Estonian Foreign Minister, Urmas Paet, during the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council in Luxembourg and noted that we all are sharing this grief with the family and friends of the killed soldier as well as with the Estonian people as a whole. 

In accordance with the information confirmed by the Ministry of Defence of Estonia, Master Sergeant Allain Tikko was killed in an attack on 15 June in Afghanistan.
