Visit by Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins to Sweden cancelled [10 Jun 2009]

Today, on 10 June, the working visit by Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins to Sweden was cancelled due to budget discussions in the Latvian Government.

Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins had intended to go on a working visit to Stockholm, in response to an invitation by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Carl Bildt, to discuss with foreign ministers of a number of EU states the foreign policy priorities of the Swedish EU Presidency.
