Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins to meet German Defence Minister

On 10 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maris Riekstins, will meet with the Federal Minister of Defence of Germany, Dr. Franz Josef Jung.
During their meeting the ministers expect to review the topicalities on NATO agenda, including the development of a new strategic concept for NATO, arms control issues, as well as the security situation in Afghanistan.
As part of his visit, the German Defence Minister will meet with President Valdis Zatlers and Defence Minister Imants Liegis.
