Andris Teikmanis in Stockholm to discuss EU agenda issues

On 7 April Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andris Teikmanis will travel to Stockholm to meet with Gustaf Lind, the Swedish Prime Minister's State Secretary for EU matters, and also with Sweden's Foreign Ministry State Secretary Frank Belfrage.

During their meeting it is planned to discuss the Baltic energy market and finance issues with regard to the evolving EU strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. Relations with Russia and the Eastern Partnership will also be on the agenda. These will be real agenda items during the Swedish presidency of the EU which commences 1 July 2009.
