Foreign Minister conveys condolences to German Foreign Minister concerning a tragic coach crash in Germany

Minister for Foreign Affairs Maris Riekstins on 5 November sent a letter of condolence to the German Federal Foreign Minister, Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier, regarding the tragic coach crash which occurred near Hannover, Germany.

In the letter, the Latvian Foreign Minister extends his heartfelt sympathy to those who have lost family members and relatives.

On the evening of 4 November, one of the most grave coach crashes in the last 15 years took place in Germany. Not far from Hannover, a fire broke out in the coach and 20 of its passengers lost their lives and 13 suffered serious injuries.
