Application open for traineeship programmes organised by Council of EU

The Foreign Ministry wishes to inform that EU citizens have the opportunity to apply for the traineeship programmes of 2009 organised by the Council of the EU.

Each year EU citizens can apply for Council of the EU traineeship programmes. These last for five months and are held twice a year: from 1 February to 30 June, and from 1 September to 31 January. The objective of these programmes is to offer the public an insight into the operation of EU institutions.   

Application is open from 2 June to 1 September. Some trainees will receive scholarships. More information on the programme and procedure for application is available at the web site of the Council of the EU: http://consilium.europa.eu/trainee.
