Foreign Minister and Georgian Reintegration State Minister to discuss developments in Abkhazia and South Ossetia

Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins on 9 May will meet with Temur Iakobashvili, the Georgian State Minister on Reintegration Issues, with the aim of discussing the present situation in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the regions of Georgia. As part of the meeting, it is anticipated that the ministers will also talk about a social integration project in Georgia being planned by Latvia and the European Commission. 

Minister Iakobashvili will be on a one-day visit to Latvia on the invitation of Oskars Kastens, the Minister for Special Assignments in Society Integration Affairs. During the visit, the Georgian State Minister will also meet with Edgars Rinkevics, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence.
