Meeting of Co-Chairmen of Latvia Russia Inter-governmental Commission in Moscow

On 7 July  a meeting is to take place in Moscow between the Co-Chairman of the Latvia-Russia Inter-governmental Commission (hereinafter – Commission), Latvian Minister of Finance Atis Slakteris, and the Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin.

The aim of the meeting is to review the activities so far of various working groups formed under the aegis of the Commission, and to set priorities for its continuing work.

At the meeting both sides are to agree on the time and venue of the next Commission meeting.

The first meeting of the Commission was convened on 20 July, 2007, in Riga, where both parties agreed that the next meeting should be held in 2008 in Russia.
