Bilateral consultations between Republic of Latvia and Russian Federation to take place in Moscow

On 20 February in Moscow, the ongoing bilateral consular consultations between the Republic of Latvia and the Russian Federation will take place. During the consultations, issues of consular co-operation will be discussed. Work will continue on harmonising the draft agreement between the governments of the Republic of Latvia and the Russian Federation on reciprocal travel simplification for inhabitants of the border territories of Latvia and Russia taking into account suggestions made by Latvian institutions and the European Commission.      

The previous Latvia-Russia bilateral consular consultations took place in Riga on 14 June 2007.
