Latvia continues co-operation with Russia's regions
From 5 to 8 February, the Embassy of Latvia in Russia is organising an official visit by a Latvian delegation to the Republic of Bashkortostan. The purpose of the visit is to promote co-operation between Latvia and Bashkortostan in the fields of transport and logistics, wood processing, construction and banking.
Within the framework of the visit, Ambassador Andris Teikmanis will meet with the leadership of the Republic and representatives of the Latvian diaspora in Bashkortostan. The Ambassador will also visit a Latvian secondary school in Arkhangelsk.
The delegation to the Republic of Baskortortan will include Andris Teikmanis, Ambassador of Latvia to the Russian Federation, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Economy, the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, the Secretariat of the Minister for Special Assignments in Society Integration Affairs, and from 16 Latvian companies.
The aim of this visit and of other such visits is to develop co-operation between Latvia and regions of Russia.
