Foreign Minister and EU Special Representative for South Caucasus to discuss co-operation with South Caucasus states

Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins on 24 April will meet with Peter Semneby, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, to talk about EU co-operation with the South Caucasian states of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, and also about Latvia's activities in this region.

Four Latvian ambassadors: Ambassador to Armenia Aivars Vovers, Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mihails Popovs, Ambassador to Georgia Andris Vilcans, and the Representative to the EU Political and Security Committee, Ambassador Imants Liegis will also participate in the talks.

During his visit, Mr Semneby is scheduled to meet with Oskars Kastens, the Minister for Special Assignments in Society Integration Affairs, and Gundars Dabolins, Chief of the State Border Guard, to talk over projects in Georgia being coordinated by the Secretariat of the Special Assignments Minister for Social Integration and the State Border Guard.
