An informal meeting of the three Baltic state Ministers of Foreign Affairs will take place in Latvia on 2 September at the initiative of Latvian Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins.
Minister Riekstins and his Lithuanian and Estonian counterparts, Petras Vaitiekunas and Urmas Paet, will review the position of the Baltic states on issues high on the foreign policy agenda prior to an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Avignon on 5 and 6 September, as well as a Nordic and Baltic state foreign minister meeting in Parnu on 8 to 9 September.
