On 27 June at 3.30 pm, Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins will hold a press conference in the Ministry premises, which will focus on the latest events in foreign policy, including the meeting of the European Council of 19-20 June in Brussels and the state visit to Ukraine by President Valdis Zatlers.
As to the last meeting of the EU leaders, Minister Riekstins gained the support of other Member States for the objective to agree on the need to ensure fair competition among all farmers in the EU. As stated by the Minister, this principle should be put into place when considering the future advance of the EU Common Agricultural Policy.
Mr Riekstins will also brief the journalists on the upcoming activities on the foreign policy agenda.
