The diplomats will exchange views about the future of the Treaty of Lisbon, EU Common Foreign and Security Policy, recent developments in the relations between the EU and third states, current events in the European Neighbourhood Policy and in the Western Balkans. The training course will also provide information on the development of the EU Communication Policy.
The participants will be addressed by Foreign Ministry Under-Secretary of State for EU Issues Ilze Juhansone, under-secretaries of state Peteris Ustubs and Edgars Skuja, as well as by other representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Transport, and the EU Information Agency.
