Latvian film Vogelfrei to be screened in Canada

On 29 November in Ottawa, the European Union Film Festival will showcase the Latvian feature film Vogelfrei, but on 3 December the joint production by young Latvian directors will be offered to Vancouver cinema connoisseurs with support from Cedric Steel, Honorary Consul of Latvia in British Columbia.

After the screening, the Embassy will host a reception and treat its guests to Latvian beer and piragi bacon pies.

The 22nd annual EU Film Festival in Canada takes place in Ottawa and Vancouver. The Festival is organised by the Canadian Film Institute in association with the EU Member States. The Festival is widely known to Canadian audiences and offers the best of contemporary cinema produced in Europe for their appreciation.
