German Foreign Minister expresses support for signing of Latvia-Russia border agreement

The German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, has expressed his pleasure on the prospective signing of the Latvia-Russia border agreement.

Mr Steinmeier praised the progress reached in the process of agreement preparations and emphasized that the signing of the agreement is in the interests of all of Europe.

The question regarding the signing of the Latvia-Russia border agreement was asked by Latvijas Radio correspondent Ina Strazdina at a news conference held on 5 March after the meeting of the General Affairs and External Relations Council in Brussels.
