Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra directed by Mariss Jansons in the Netherlands at Christmas [19 Dec 2006]

The Embassy in the Netherlands, in conjunction with the management of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, will invite special guests to the Christmas concert by the Royal orchestra directed by Mariss Jansons on 25 December 2006. The concert will be attended by the Foreign Minister of the Netherlands, Bernard Bot; the Minister of Justice Ernst Hirsch Ballin, other senior officials and representatives from the Hague diplomatic corps.

The Latvian community in Berlin celebrated Christmas on 17 December. With support from the Latvian musicians living in Berlin, those present played music and sang. Performing at the event were the choir of the Latvian Association in Berlin and children from the Latvian school in Berlin. A Latvian-speaking Santa Claus visited the children.
