Latvian Embassy in Russia "jingles in" Christmas time [18 Dec 2006]

On 16 December 2006, the Latvian Embassy in Moscow hosted a celebration on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas. The Embassy's diplomatic staff and guests watched a festive concert with songs sung by children from the Sunday School and with theatricalized games played by the children together with their parents. The children took part in the lottery where they could win gifts and were also treated to festive Christmas food. Children and their parents were welcomed by the Latvian Ambassador to Russia, Andris Teikmanis. Santa Claus had also come to the Christmas event at the Embassy to meet the children.

Santa Claus also met the diplomats and other staff members of the Latvian Embassy, who also had the opportunity to participate in the lottery, listen to Christmas songs and play games.
