Turkish Parliament endorses admission to NATO of the seven invited countries [10 Nov 2003]

On 5 November 2003, the Turkish Parliament endorsed the Accession Protocols to the North Atlantic Treaty of the seven countries invited to join the Alliance. This legal act will enter force after it is signed by Turkey's president and published in the official government gazette.

Turkey is the 13^th country to vote for the admission to NATO of the seven candidate countries. The Protocols of Accession are still to be ratified by France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Iceland.
