Edgars Rinkēvičs to meet First Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, Vladimir Titov

On 14 November in Riga, the Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs will meet with the First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Russia, Vladimir Titov, who is arriving in Latvia to take part in the regular political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Latvia and Russia.

During his visit, Vladimir Titov will also meet with the Co-Chairman of the Latvia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission, Minister for Transport, Uldis Augulis.

The political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Latvia and Russia is a regular format for discussing the matters of bilateral cooperation and the most important issues on the international policy agenda. The consultations will be led by Andrejs Pildegovičs, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, and Vladimir Titov, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Russia.

Two bilateral documents will be signed during the consultations: an agreement on amendments to the Agreement of 20 December 2010 between the Government of the Republic of Latvia and the Government of the Russian Federation on Facilitating Mutual Journeys of Border Residents of the Republic of Latvia and the Russian Federation; and the Plan of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russia Federation for 2018-2019.
