Under-Secretary of State Alda Vanaga thanks the Ambassador of Iceland for her contribution to fostering bilateral relations

On 9 November, the Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Administrative Director Alda Vanaga met with the Ambassador of Iceland to Latvia, Kristín Aðalbjörg Árnadóttir, who had arrived for a farewell visit. Their conversation addressed bilateral relations and cooperation in regional formats.

Alda Vanaga thanked the Ambassador for the work she has invested in the development of bilateral relationship between Latvia and Iceland. In the regional context, the significance of the NB8 format was emphasised, particularly at a time when the issues of closer political and economic integration of the Baltic and Nordic region and regional security are increasing in importance.   

Ambassador Kristín Aðalbjörg Árnadóttir was accredited in Latvia on 21 January 2014. The Ambassador resided in Helsinki, Finland.
