On 4 September 2017 in London, Edgars Rinkēvičs, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, will take part in a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Baltic States, the Nordic countries and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The Ministers will discuss challenges to regional security, transatlantic relations and current issues on the international agenda – the Middle East peace process, developments in Syria, and the situation on the Korean Peninsula, in light of North Korea’s recently increasing provocative activities in relation to the implementation of its ballistic missile and nuclear programme.

On the initiative of the United Kingdom, the Foreign Ministers of the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) cooperation format will meet with Boris Johnson, the UK’s Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.

Foreign Minister Rinkēvičs will also have interviews with several British media.
