Foreign Minister of Latvia to meet with Polish Foreign Minister

On 13 February, Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs will meet with the Foreign Minister of Poland Radosław Sikorski who arrives in Latvia for an official visit. Foreign Minister Rinkēvičs and Polish Foreign Minister intend to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation in joint regional projects. The parties also plan to talk about the topics of current importance related to the European Union and security policy, as well as relations with EU’s neighbouring countries.

The visit will see the signing of an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Latvia and the Government of the Republic of Poland providing for Latvian-Polish cooperation in visa representation.

During his stay Foreign Minister Sikorski is also to meet with the Speaker of the Saeima Solvita Āboltiņa and Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis. Polish Foreign Minister will visit the Museum of the Occupation and take part in the flower-laying ceremony at the Freedom Monument.
