On 25th of July Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) signed an agreement with Egyptian businessperson Eng. Waleed Ghorab to officially represent LCCI in Egypt. Eng. Ghorab is the Chairman and the owner of Egyptian joint stock company “Konoz”. The company works in construction, real estate, petroleum services, mining and import.

The Embassy of Latvia in Egypt organized LCCI Representative’s first visit to Latvia earlier this year. He recognizes that Latvia is unknown in the local business community. During his business trips to Latvia, Eng. Ghorab discovered that Latvian market offers high quality, great technology, know-how and competitive pricing. Eng. Ghorab is convinced that LCCI representation in Egypt would increase the trade between Latvia and Egypt, and increase the investment.

Mr. Omar Elderini became the first LCCI Representative in Egypt in 2014. Investment and Development Agency of Latvia has two Social Representatives in Egypt: Eng. Gamal El Aguizy and Eng. Laila Maghraby. The contact details of all the representatives are available in the Embassy of Latvia in Egypt website http://www.mfa.gov.lv/en/egypt/embassy/
